Head Coach |
I'm going to be heading over to Ypsi to watch the Bison get used as tackling dummies at Eastern MI this Saturday. I don't want any of you accomplished photographers scoffing at my work so I will preface my efforts with the following:
1) I'll likely be using my own crappy Konica-Minolta mega-zoom camera because I just haven't pulled together the funding for what I really want (coming in December). It helps that this is a day game because this camera performs much better in sunlight than in darker situations. The only problem there though is that it does have the annoying tendency to underexpose on longer distance daylight shots, which is what I think I'll have to take if they don't let me down at the field level. And don't get me started on that damned digital zoom! 2. There is an off chance I'll be able to scam the use of a Nikon D70 from work, which would be much better, though not exactly my dream camera. I've borrowed it before and it was plenty nice enough. We have two decent Nikkor zoom lenses with it so if I get that one the quality should be significantly better. 3. I only took up the hobby last year. So go easy on a brother. Hopefully I'll get some stuff finished and posted by sometime Sunday. -ep This message has been edited. Last edited by: EPMD, |

Good news / bad news.
Bad news: I was NOT successful in my attempt to secure the use of the Nikon D70 in the office. Bummer. Good news: I was able to get a Nikon D50 instead. It's not as nice as the other model and certainly not as nice as the one I want to buy. But it'll dayum sight outperform my megazoom piece of crap. I've got the 55mm and 200mmm zoom lenses and, God willing, our SID will get my e-mail and hook a brother up with field passes, if possible. Wish me luck. -ep |
