UNBELIEVABLE MATH PROBLEM

Here is a math trick so unbelievable that it will stump you. Personally I would like to know who came up with this. Grab a calculator. (you won't be able to do this one in your Head)

1. Key in the first three digits of your phone number (NOT the Area code)
2. Multiply by 80
3. Add 1
4. Multiply by 250
5. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number
6. Add the last 4 digits of your phone number again.
7. Subtract 250
8. Divide number by 2

The answer will equal your telephone number!

Something To Think About---Start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible and suddenly you are doing the impossible!!!

Its cool I looked at it's just an equation that multiplies the first 3 by 10,000 and adds the other 4.

Those steps describe the equation

((250(80x+1) + 2y)-250)/2
where x the first 3 digits and y the last 4

it all works out to 10000x+y.

No. Asians aren't the only ones that do math. I just saw it and figured that I'd see how it worked that all.
