I was wondering if this was ever gonna come to fruition. This team is in peril. There's some serious rebuilding that needs to take place down in the MI. I don't think anyone, even D-Wade, is a guaranteed to be on the squad next year. |

Dude let it go.
I guess getting a team a championship destroyed the team. Pat Riley Destroyed the Heat by not getting any younger players in and some help for D-Wade and Shaq at the start of the season. Besides Shaq and D-Wade you could not tell me who else is on that team. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ BEHOLD THE GREEN AND GOLD!!!! |

Miami was set up in a win now situation, and they did in 2006. With the age on that team, it should be no surprise that they have fallen off this much.

I agree too. Pat Riley came back to coach because of Shaq. Therefore Shaq destroyed the Heat.
They were pressing to make the old azz Shaq trade work so they overloaded with age and experience...Shaq's salary. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Howard U......Black America's University. |

Shaq gave up on the team and played as if he were hurt. He wanted to be traded and no longer liked it in Miami. As soon as he got to Pheonix, he was healthy all of a sudden. I hope they get their azz waxed.

I laughed this past weekend with a buddy about just the same thang ... Only instead of Shaq I broguht up his equally shammin' teammate who used to be over there with you in the ORL who now is the picture of health. I was so hoping that the Spurs would have swept them, because they are a fraud now, and hopefully are really gonna be exposed for the frauds they are next year. They are just proving that Pheonix is indeed where old, broken down folks go to retire! Riley and the whole Heat Org should give all their Season Ticketholders at least a 25% season discount next year, because they flat out quit on the season months ago. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Just Remember... how can you put "RUIN an organization" and "WIN a championship" in the same sentence. that should be against grammar or context laws or something... lemme pull out the handbook....

This isn't a Shaq issue, it's a Pat Riley is a CREEP issue.
Riley made the dumb decision to pay Brian Grant all of that money. Pat quit on the Heat the year they started 0-7 or whatever it was. Van Gundy came in and rallied the troops, they over-achieved, and made the playoffs. Riley fired...I mean suggested Van Gundy spend more time with his family once he realized he had a championship caliber squad. BTW Shaq was a big part of that squad. Now dude's running again because he can't see his way out of this mess. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ |

Indeed, this is a much bigger Pat Riley issue than a Shaq issue. Riley saw how Jerry West built championship teams in Los Angeles. He should have known that after the 2006 season that the Heat would be aging team. This is Riley's fault much more than it is Shaq's. |
