I would give my Cowboys a B-.
They addressed losing Julius Jones ( by drafting Felix Jones) They picked up the 3rd best CB (Mike Jenkins out of USF) in the draft (just incase this Pacman deal falls thru). They picked up a nice all-around TE (Martellus Bennett out of Texas A&M)who use to play basketball in college to address losing Fasano.... They didn't address our WR depth..... _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "Hope for the best...Plan for the worst..." |

Raiders: D- Why draft McFadden when you have Fargus, D.Rhodes( who you overpaid for), Lamont Jordon, and Michael Bush that u drafted last year. Thank God salaries aren' guarneeted. Then u pick 3 projects, two at WR and one at DE. We still need a LB. I just knew his was going to draft the kid from Ohio State. Only reason no F is for the CB we drafted _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Now that you have learned your lesson for the day, Class Dismissed |

Cowboys,B. We should've adressed the need for a FS to take over for Roy Williams and a backup QB in the event that Romo goes or keeps tripping over Jessica.

I'll give my Bengals a B. They beefed up the LB core. They addressed the D-Line with Sims and Shirley. They got quality WRs (although we shouldn't have needed them...Henry and Chad..ugh). They picked up another OL, which can help stabilize the line. Pretty straight draft.

This is the first time ole danny boy has left a bitter taste in your mouth? I lost my sense of taste a long time ago with his poor leadership and domineering ways. He is rich. He is not a football man by any means. Surround yourself with good people and let them do what they do. As far as the draft...... Skins get a C+ from me. At least they tried to address the blatant lack of size at the wide out slot. They didnt really address the lack of a bonafied pass rush or the questionable ability to stop the run or the dessimated O-line. Or at least not to my satisfaction. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ |

STEELERS? A- to a very high B+. I like that runningback from Illinois we picked up in the first round; an excellent compliment to Parker. And that receiver we picked up was sorely needed as well. I still think we need some more help on the offensive line, though.

Draft Effort A+
Player Quality B I think my Jags did a great job addressing the need for better pass defense. We traded up twice to get the best we could get at DE each time. Trading up cost us 7 picks but that's OK since those 7 didn't have a good chance of making the team anyway with our depth. Not having great pass rushers was what was missing from our game against the Patriots in the playoffs. We went in at the half tied with them at 14 but lost the game because we could not stop Brady. I think he went something like 26 for 28 which is insane. Our inability to consistently pressure Manning has cost us big time also in our division. So due to the fact that we knew our need and we aggressively addressed that need in the first two rounds I think we get an [/b]A+[/b] for effort. Now when combining that effort with the quality of the two at that position we were able to get plus the late-rounders we got I think we have solid B on our hands. And please spare me the complaints about us not getting Jason Taylor. He's a nice guy and great player but three things: 1. Miami’s foolish asking price 2. His Salary 3. His Age _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ THE FUTURE IS NOW!!! |

I give my Giants a solid B. The addressed their needs in the defensive backfield and with good coaching these guys can contribute for them. They also got a good steal in Maningham at reciever. A good trade for Shockey and they could be better in 08-09 than they were this year.

I give the Falcons a B- (80), almost a C.
Nothing against Matt Ryan. I understand that pick....but, I figured building the D with Glenn Dorsey would be the foundation. I think we reached for LT Sam Baker, who has the accolades but seemed oft-injured. I dropped my remote when I saw we traded back in the 1st ound to get him. Then, the remainder of the draft, we took no DL and no more OL (both noted areas of weakness),and chose to stock up on LBs, DBs, a RB and WR. Need areas as well..yeah, but given the injuries and attrition to both the OL and DL, the drafting strategy left me _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ |

I give the Cowboys a B+. Getting a RB was good, as were the CBs, but I would've liked to see them get a WR just as "insurance" so to speak, but I wouldn't say it was mandatory.
I'd wait a few years on that backup QB since I still say Romo has a few years in him. If anything, I'd rather see a vet go in as backup, to help shape and discipline Romo and keep his mind on the field, and not on Jessica Simpson. Brad Johnson could work as a mentor, given he does have a ring to show for it. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Don't worry about it...they'll be back in 08... |

Incomplete. Two idiots were running our draft - Vinny Cerrato and Dan Snyder. Can we get a do-over? Who left these two alone in the draft room without a proctor?

I disagree I give the Raiders a B-. Reasons the Raiders picked McFadden(or any RB). 1. Jordan only played in 3 of the last 8 games last season. 2. Rhodes only played in 6 games. he restructured his deal so he's not as expensive. Plus they released him yesterday. 3. Bush has played a game in almost 2 years, who knows how his leg is going to be. 4. Fargas is a on year wonder. Besides this year he's shown flashes of being decent. Plus, I think he and Mcfadden will work better splitting time. 5. He's the most talented player in the draft!!!! Remember, D. Hall is essentially our second round pick. The WR from Richmond I agree was a bad pick. As for the 6th and 7th round picks, most of the time they are projects. That's why they go in the 6th and 7th rounds. The kid from San Diego State has the size and speed to become a serviceable NFL player. In the 7th round that is really what your looking for some one who can come in and contribute. The DE from Buffalo will be at least a decent special teams player as he develops. He has the speed and toughness to do that. So he can come in and contribute right away. I give the Cowboys a B. Shoulda gotten a WR where we drafted Bennett, TE. Early Doucet was still on the board, and maybe even the WR from Texas the Steelers drafted. I also think we picked too many CBs. With Pacman and the CBs drafted, it'll only make sense to me if we move Henry to safety. I guess they could be anticipating losing Henry and/or Newman to free agency.
