You left off the best part, "I'm 40". I'm pretty sure some SWAC school will pick this guy up. Can't really blame them, after all, it is about winning. This kid will help a 1-aa team win regardless of who it is. They should be able to get at least the first season out of him. After that getting to praying to get that second year of eligibility. |

Sources: Dismissed LSU QB Perrilloux failed drug test
ESPN.com news services Updated: May 3, 2008, 7:55 PM ET Comment LSU Dismisses QB Ryan PerrillouxBATON ROUGE, La. -- Ryan Perrilloux seemed like a perfect fit for LSU. The Louisiana native had the rocket arm, mobility and versatility to make him a constant big-play threat and one of the most sought-after quarterback prospects in the country coming out of high school. He even had the French last name. His lack of discipline off the field, however, became an increasing distraction for head coach Les Miles, who finally decided Perrilloux's presence on the roster was more trouble than it was worth. Perrilloux tested positive on a drug test, leading Miles to dismiss him on Friday morning, two sources close to the situation told ESPN's Joe Schad. A person close to Perrilloux said he hopes to transfer to a member of the former Division I-AA, where he could have two seasons of eligibility left. Perrilloux is strongly considering these three schools: Alabama A&M, Valdosta State and Jackson State. Rest of Story _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ |

Jackson State is the best choice out of those 3... as much as I hate to admit it. LOL Even though AAMU needs a QB.

JSU definitely is not in need of a QB. I'd rather have him just to keep other schools from getting him. Comegy and staff will be on him 'til he decides. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ |

He may end up at Valdosta St.
They are a Div. II powerhouse and I believe have won 2 of the past 3 Div. II National Chammpionships. I believe Fabian Walker(transfer from FSU) led to VSU to one of those titles. I could really see him going to VSU. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ From a FAMU Fooball player to me "Bruh, we gonna shock alot of people this year...so get that Pit Crew ready!!!" The dude is said to have failed three drug tests. The drugs weren't marijuana, but it was said to be powdered cocaine. To fail three drug tests is serious. Plus this guy has had other brushes with the law in addition to the drug tests. Jackson State don't need a coke-head on the sidelines influencing other players on the team. I don't care how good he is. |

I am the biggest proponent of second chances. But this guy seems to be too much of a problem child right now.
Being at LSU he was lucky to get as many chances as he did get. |

Perrilloux a fit at A&M?
Wednesday, May 07, 2008 By REGGIE BENSON Times Sports Staff reggie.benson@htimes.com Bulldogs program has been in touch with ex-LSU quarterback Alabama A&M coach Anthony Jones confirmed Tuesday he has spoken with former LSU quarterback Ryan Perrilloux, who is reportedly seeking to resurrect his career at a small-college program. "I've been in contact with him," Jones said. "We're interested in Ryan. He's an exceptional student-athlete. Based on what we know, he would be able to do some special things here." Perrilloux, Rivals' top-rated prep quarterback in the 2005 signing class, was beset by off-the-field problems at LSU, culminating with last week's dismissal by coach Les Miles. He was suspended three times during the last year. He missed spring practice this year for reportedly skipping team meetings and classes. Perrilloux was suspended last fall for his involvement in a fight at a night spot near the LSU campus. He was suspended last summer after he was stopped from entering a casino with a false ID. In 2006 he was questioned by federal law enforcement officials in a counterfeit money investigation, though he was not charged with any crime. A&M isn't the only school in the state interested in Perrilloux. Jacksonville State coach Jack Crowe has had contact with Perrilloux, while Alabama State coach Reggie Barlow also said he is interested. "All I have done is due diligence," Crowe told The Birmingham News. "We will not compromise the integrity of our program." While numerous schools are expected to court Perrilloux - who shared time with Matt Flynn last season and led LSU over Tennessee in the SEC championship game - they must cope with his baggage. "Ryan was given every opportunity to be a part of this football team," Miles said. "In the end, he didn't fulfill his obligation as an LSU student-athlete. We hope that a new beginning will benefit him." Jones hopes that new beginning is at A&M. "We're going to let the situation play itself out and hope that he is interested in us," Jones said. Perrilloux can transfer without sitting out a year only if he goes to a non-Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) program. A&M is trying to replace Kelcy Luke, a record-setting four-year starter at quarterback, who transferred from Auburn. Redshirt sophomore Kevin Atkins ended the spring atop the depth chart. Jacksonville State also is trying to replace last year's starter, Cedric Johnson, who was kicked off the team earlier this year. Alabama State's Barlow said he is interested in sitting down with Perrilloux. "When there are things like you read in the paper, naturally you have to get to the source," Barlow told The Birmingham News, "and he's the source. You have to have an up-front conversation to find out what's true and what's not." _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ "Everything this institution has ever done has been based on dreams and against all odds. We do what we do because those dreams are alive, they're living, they're breathing, and we continue to move forward." |
