As I grow older, and mind you, I'm only 24... I find myself growing more apathetic towards my MEAC conference. Right now, I honestly wouldn't care whether My Mecca stays or left this conference. I may feel differently come August, but right now, it just feels like the MEAC is going nowhere fast.

-It takes 3-4 years just to admit one school in NCCU.

-WSSU has come into the conference and in a year or two they are already a mid pack athletic program with draft picks, give them a few more years and they'll probably run things like Hampton did... a little bit too easy. What does that say about the rest of us?

-Our top athletic programs consistently under perform... SCSU, FAMU, A&T...

-Our teams repeatedly lose and get whipped when we play legit out of conference comp.

-Every month there's talk of schools leaving...

-Other smaller conferences have found ways to increase revenue and still win, but it's a mystery to us.

I'm a fan of gradual progression, but if our conference is moving slower than the dag-gon turtle, are we really ever going to win the race?

A lot of these lingering issues need to be resolved at these next meetings so we can move on.
