Have had a few of our regulars already telling us that unless the price of gas at least plateaus within the next few weeks/months, some of them may be compelled to rethink some of their fall football travel plans ...
... And coupled with the fact that airfares are already about to also take a slight incline shortly ... How much will the potential of rising gas prices play a factor in your upcoming travel plans this coming fall ... &/or has it already? _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Just Remember... It will cost a lot more but its something you plan for.
I am thinking about going to the WSSU, A&T, and NSU games. I will plan for the extra money in June/July like taking a mini vacation. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ Time can be your best friend or worst enemy. |

High gas prices will also impact college athletic budgets negatively too.... Higher transportation cost to move teams and bands, as well as lower attendance at events as consumers are forced to make tough choices.

Allowing them to mingle with spartans can result in drowning, fatigue, humiliation, laughter, or loss of employment. Please save your bulldog.  good eats.. good weather.. spartan win! |

I have to start doing these tips:
1) Sneak drinks and food in the game 2) Print off the pregram program off the internet 3) McDonald instead of Mayflower or Chilli Serious I think a lot of vistor's band will be down plus I wonder if road trips will be too much |

Nope. I will travel to 3 or 4 away games this year and I'm putting away for my planned trips each week as we speak. I'm gonna be well prepared for these trips (Budgeting 101). Now if I can convince some of my other so-called Rattler faithful friends to travel with me, this'll cut the price much more

Understand where you are going with the question, but this board is not a representative sample of the population. Most of the folks on here are diehards in some form or another. The diehard money will always be there. Those A.D. budgets flux with the fairweather or occasional fan. I WAS thinking about rollin on down to Orlando for the JSU-Hampton matchup...but not at THESE RIDICULOUS gas prices.

I plan on attending the games but I will not be pulling that monster of a grill to all the home games.

I have an idea. You turn a negative into a positive. Here's the deal. Let's use this season's high gas prices as an excuse to reunite the old fashioned road trips. Remember, the days when we actually piled in one car and had a looootttaaa fun!!!
