Orlando Mitjans will not be back coordinating the rattler defense this August. Something went down, and he has been relieved of his duties. I believe he has a chance of coming back, but those chances are very slim.

Hmmmmm. Always felt FAMU could do better at DC. He didn't do much at TSU or Towsend State. Good luck at getting someone in. FAMU is an attractive place to coach so shouldn't be too hard.

I thought Charles Huff was the coordinator last year? Or was this Orlando guy the new DC after Carter and staff got canned?

Yes, that would be correct. Huff was gone in a puff when we got our new HC.

goody,

you should checkout rattlernews.com. Because word is that Rattlers will be playing in 4-2-5 as their base defense for 2008 season..

BTW, I think Joe Taylor did use mix of 3-4 defense during the last three seasons at Hampton..

The 4-2-5 is variation of 3-4 eagle defense use by late Bud Carson.
