When and where is the 2008 MEAC Executive Council Spring Meeting?

In your opinion, what are the top 5 MEAC issues, that really need quick attention, that should be on the agenda, for this year's discussion and prompt action, and why?

1. Find a home for the basketball tournament. I say move it to Norfolk for a few years then to Winston Salem

2. Sign a major deal with an airline, hotel, and restaurant. The MEAC goes from Delaware to Florida. The commissioner should make the distance work for him. There is no reason why the MEAC does not have major deals with companies like Delta, Hilton, and the Olive Garden. It’s a win win for everyone

3. How to consistently get two teams in the Div. 1AA playoffs. A few teams have gone 9-2 and were sitting home.

4. Expand the ESPNU games and allow teams to negotiate their own local deals. ESPNU should have first rights not exclusive rights.

5. Add NCCU into the MEAC. I am sure it is a done deal

I agree with MorganFan's list along with discussing reframing the future MEAC Football Schedule (limited conference games).

The Spring Meetings will be May 21-24 at the Sheraton Oceanfront Hotel; Virginia Beach, VA

* Revenue sharing is probably going to be a big topic. With more teams the MEAC pot of money will get smaller. If a team makes it to the NCAA basketball tournament how much should they be allowed to keep?

* Conference alignment – Do you break it up into North and South, or keep one big conference and just schedule 8 conference games.
