expect an official announcement early next week about the tournament coming to W-S for the next three years. 4 cities made bids including Raleigh.
W-S officials pledged $100,000.00 to bring the tournament here. $25,000 came from WSSU $25,000 came from the city $25,000 came from the Forsyth County Tourism Development Authority $25,000 came from the Millennium Fund _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _  |

I happy it's in Winston, but people are going to be spread out too far as Raleigh, Richmond. I'm going to support it, but it would be better in Norfolk.

the meac will need a very good entertainment package to pull this thing off successfully in winston. it’ll be interesting to find out if they have any plans to use the annex during tourney week. to me, that’s the only advantage that winston has…

If it W-S then no more 10 am games because there will be two courts to use. If they are smart. In fact this move will give the women a chance to play in primetime in the Annex. The games will have to be coordinated to make sure that the women's and men's team of the same school will not play at the same time.

Aggiejazz, the brackets are usually pre-determined some time in advance, so I don't thik there will be any re-drawing to make sure the men and women don't play at the same time. The conference determines it in advance to make sure the top 2 seeds get some kind of advantage (eg - having an off day on Thursday if they win their quarterfinal games).

It is good that the MEAC Tournament stays in North Carolina, with or without NC Central's Participation in any possible MEAC "Bonus Game", with WSSU, next year.
