Last year I sent MEAC PR Director, Michelle Jenks an email asking if there would be any type of media release and she basically said the meetings are closed to the public and there would be no press releases issued. My sources tell me that NCCU nor SSU will be voted on this time around. First, the presidents have to vote on removing the moratorium on expansion. From all indications so far, it doesn't appear that's going to happen this year.

Last summer, some MEAC honcha finally figured out he had a brain and said "hey, we haven't really done any planning for expansion, like how to handle the schedule, should we have divisions, what will be the impact of adding members to the MEAC", and so on. I think Thomas stated this as one of the main issue for the moratorium.
