How does Whitlock know that? To be honest folks don't want to watch Larry Hughes or D.West because they're not marquee players. D.West is almost there but I wouldn't buy season tickets because of him. Most fans are there for either the BIG GUNS in the NBA OR for their home teams.

While I do think that Whitlock is Uncle Ruckus in the flesh, he may have a point. Aside from the Spurs not being the runaway favorite this year, and Garnett coming to the East, I'm ashamed to say this post I recently did may add credence to his argument.

He has "Zero" point. None!!! This is the greatest season in the NBA since the league has been broadcasting games. We had 8 teams in the playoffs with 50 wins. Nuff said. The Celtics are in the Eastern finals for the first time in 21 years. The Lakers are back....Kobe's image is improving and since he's the best player in the NBA that doesn't hurt either.

And this is coming from someone who got about 10 tattoos as a freshman in college.

You do notice the tats though. I don't see how someone would turn the channel because of them but just watching the NCAA and NBA playoffs, I think, why the fugg would you put a tat on your neck? I don't mind a tat on the shoulder, chest, arm or whatever- but all over the friggin' place? I really don't need to see that. That, however, doesn't correspond to ratings in my opinion.

Whenever I think about getting a tatoo I remember looking at National Geographic and seeing the native tribes who put rings around their necks, burn their own flesh and stick plates in their lips - all in the name of fashion. I can't help but think 100 years from now people will look back at this current tatoo fade and wonder what the hell made us do something so dumb.
