If she can recruit the Southeast (NC, SC, GA, FL, MS) I think she will be OK. She's gotta connect with some of the powerhouse prep coaches in SC first (Debbie Stroman at Lower Richland and Dorothy Fortune at Lee Central come to mind).

Please don't depress me. I actually saw the inside of Carolina's locker room and almost shed tears of pain for our athletes.

You're okay with her leaving Temple, but FAMU is wrong IF we had gone for someone in the HBCU ranks.

How hypocritical is that? Roll Eyes

Frowner i'm not hypocritical at all, my friend! not one ounce of hypocrisy! you're missing my point completely! i criticized famu for showing a "consistent pattern" (can you spell "consistent pattern" boys and girls?) of going after committed "hbcu" head coaches. if it had happened only once, no one would have said anything about it. but it happened several times consistently all in the same year against fellow hbcu's. pwc's have always done that type of thing, athletically they've always been in a financial arms race. but hbcu's have not and most can't afford to. that's the difference, my friend. hbcu's, compared to pwc's, generally struggle financially and because of that, in my opinion, its unethical for a fellow hbcu to use finances as leverage to steal fellow hbcu coaches on a consistent basis. again, the fact that it happens once is no big deal. but to allegedly do it 3 or 4 times within a year is definitely in poor taste, my friend! there's absolutely nothing hypocritical about my criticism of famu, nothing at all…

Do you know that others don't have this perceived consistency? Roll Eyes

You know not whether people came seeking us or not. What you DO know is that we have a number of people on our staff who are from HBCUs. Everything else is speculative.

Can you spell that, sir?
