ESPN reports he's going with Jacksonville State. I don't know much about them other than they play HBCUs in the south on occasion.

Is Jacksonville State in some way a higher-profile college?

Do they have better facilities?

Does he think he'll get more looks from pro scouts at a PWC?

???

I'm sure he's looking for the closest thing to LSU. There's more Becky's at Jacksonville St. Big Grin

Word is, Les Miles really pushed him to go to Jacksonville State. I doubt if they have better facilities. Definitely not better than Jackson State. His mother mighta been aight with it, too.

Maybe he wanted to play on a national stage and compete for a national championship, and none of the FCS HBCUs in the area offered him that opportunity. Jacksonville State wasnt blown out in any of their games last season, so maybe he feels he can be the missing piece needed for a title run.

I just hope he doesnt have some sense of entitlement at his new school and actually puts forth his best effort.

"History is not a procession of illustrious people. It's about what happens to a people. Millions of anonymous people is what history is about." - James Baldwin

" ... the United States, for generations, has sustained two parallel but opposed states of mind about military atrocities and human rights: one of U.S. benevolence, generally held by the public, and the other of ends-justify-the-means brutality sponsored by counterinsurgency specialists. Normally the specialists carry out their actions in remote locations with little notice in the national press. That allows the public to sustain its faith in a just America, while hard-nosed security and economic interests are still protected in secret. ": Robert Parry, investigative reporter and author

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." - Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945

Or the fact that Jacksonville St. lost 4 QB's might have factored in.

He believes the coaching is better there, I suppose.

I don't know why I'm thinking Jacksonville St. is in Jacksonville, FL. Handicap The University of Jacksonville is in Jacksonville, FL, right?

He'll win a National Title at Howard before he wins one at Jax State.

Why are these same dang questions asked every 3 months?!?!?!?

Hail ODU gets better basketball players than NSU and Hampton combined year end and year out yet its a surprised to them each year when it happens. Its the same d@mn story in each of our states - most kids would rather die than to be bothered with the local HBCU.

Blame yt for that if you want do but just look at all of the dumb ch!t and non-action that has gone on under our so called Hampton installed conference leader.

The odds of Howard winning a title is better than the odds of A&T winning 2 games this season. You're A&T, owners of 27 Ls in a row. EVERYBODY on your schedule is a National Title contender when you share the field with them.

But you missed my point. I know you don't mean but slower people tend to do that so I'll cut you some slack. Jacksonville State isn't a threat to win any national titles while he's there.

BUT if you want to smack FOOTBALL, there is a little area, we can bring up ALL OF A&T's greatest blunders.

nothing about Black or white...

Jax State didnt have a scholarshiped qb on their roster. They had 2 walk ons since Jax State coach kicked off the starting qb earlier in Feb, for doing the same things Perriloux did at LSU. Thats why alot of Jax State fans are upset with Crowe. Why sign somebody who did the same exact things as the last qb you kicked off the team.
