I believe because of the 3 way tie breaker Hampton is the 4th seed. Because in the 3 way tie decision Hampton went 2-1 against UMES and Morgan combined.

actually we wont play morgan at all unless its in the championship game. The actual standings are....

A&T has an easy road to the semi-finals of course, but that's about it. Should be an interesting draw on the ladies' side.

Of course you can't forget the defending tournament champions. To paraphrase the wise old Nature Boy, to be the team -- whooo! -- you gotta BEAT the team.

Your right on point with at...Even though howard game A&T a good game last saturday, I think coach bibbs has her girls hungry after going 15-1.And if A&T does play howard, it could be ugly.

Howard plays no defense. They give up like 85-90 points in conference games, I believe (or at least it seems like it). If they play A&T, I think A&T puts up 100.

The again, coach Clark at FAMU always does pretty well in the tournament so I would predict FAMU to beat Howard in round 1.

well waterboi, you're right about one thing, indeed the lady aggies will be hungry. they are very hurt and upset about losing our only conference game to hampton. they are a very close knit team and they're steaming about that loss. by no means are they guaranteed to win the tourney (though they've clinched a WNIT bid) but i think you're going to see a very "re-focused" aggie team in raleigh. following last night's victory over the spartans, freshman sensation Jalessa Sams (they nicknamed her "Jee" and its caught on) had this to say which is indicative of their attitude, "“We can’t wait to get to the tournament,’’ said Sams, whose 20 points last night were a career high. “We feel like we have a lot to prove. People still don’t respect us despite all we’ve done this year. From this point on, it's all about winning the tournament.” translation (for those who can't read between the lines), "its on!"

If I hear one more athlete say 'we aren't respected' I'm going to jump off a bridge. That's great if it works for you to get motivated that way, but seriously, who among media or fans aren't giving A&T respect? I haven't seen anything in newspapers, or any of the avid fans on this board say anything that would be doubting A&T's ability to win the whole thing. They're the clear favorites.

shissh, don't say that too loud, the lady aggies might hear you. you're right, but a good coach convinces his/her team to believe that for motivation and apparently bibbs has pulled that off…

the tie breaker works like this UMES,Hampton and Morgan are all at 10-6. against those foes Hampton split with morgan and beat umes in the only game making Hampton 2-1. UMES and morgan played twice but the first meeting for some strange reason didnt count for the MEAC standings thus making Morgan 1-1 and UMES 1-1. But because UMES won the game that counted in the standings UMES is 5th and MOrgan is 6th. Thus Hampton wins the tie-breaker. I read this in the tournament information packet the conference sends out to the coaches.
