This could be either or.Either an epic by two wonderfully gifted older fighters.Or a snoozefest.

I used to like Bhop, but after his idiotic, racist comments, I hope Joe knocks him the f out.

I got Joe C. by decision. I'd love to see B-Hop win it, tho. I'll be pulling for ole Bernard.

I have BHOP winning this fight and I dont think it will be a snooze fest! Joe Calzaghe wont allow that. I see Calzaghe pressing the action for most of the fight and BHOP landing something serious in the later rounds.

Can't see how it can be a boring fight. People always say that about B'nard because of his defensive style. But to me, with the punch count Joe C usually puts out, how B defends against that will make it entertaining.

True B Hop is old but it ain't like at 36 Joe c is a youngin' either. Plus, they are fighting at a weight (175 not 168) B Hop called for so Joe had to move up. I think once again, B will surprise a lot of folks. Besides he said, "I'll never let a white man beat me!" Big Grin

Plus, who's Joe going to look to for instructions when/if things get real tight? His trainer/dad only has one client and B has several guys with a career's worth of knowledge and insight.

i think that it will be close fight. but hopkins is going to have to limit calzaghe's work rate because that is how he wins so many rounds. i think he will limit it somewhat but not enough. calzaghe split decision and get ready to hear hopkins cry that he got robbed.

I normally don't go against Hopkins, but I like Calzaghe in this one. Calzaghe impresses me.

I scored it 115-112 for Calzaghe.
Hopkins landed the more effective punches but just not enough! Close fight though. Calzaghe will stay #2 on my list and Hopkins will stay number 6!

I had it 116-111 for Calzaghe as well. Wasn't a brilliant performance, but it was a good one.

That judge needs to be beat. Joe C dominated. "Never let a white boy beat me". White boys own every division.

The Associated Press had it 114-113 Hopkins. You guys amaze me. When Hopkins lost this kind of fight, he did not do enough, but now he dominated the first 7 rounds and now he lost it in the end. The Champ was not dominated and from what I am reading, he was RIPPED OFF AGAIN!!! I was always taught, the challenger has to DOMINATE THE CHAMP!!! & calzaghe did not dominate. And we wonder why people don't watch Boxing anymore. You guys sure hate Hopkins don't you?

SMH

I talked to my brother last night. He is a HUGE Hopkins fan. He even admitted to me that Hopkins lost. He said that Hopkins did not throw enough punches (like Taylor-Hopkins 1 & 2). Hopkins needs to realize that he can't win a fight by fighting for 6-8 rounds.

Come on guys face it! Our boy lost! He didn't do enough. He's 43 years old and he showed it last night. It was a close fight but BHOp LOST! get over it. Calzaghe is in his prime. Bhop is not. The right man got the nod.
