nsu definitely deserves a lot of credit, especially this year. but let's be honest. if you have the top track program in the conference (which nsu has), you get "double credit" for indoor and outdoor track even though you're primarily using the same athletes for both. plus, since the meac only sponsors 7 mens and womens sports, track skews the all sports award. not taking anything away from nsu because this year, top to bottom, nsu definitely deserves the all sports award. but prior years were skewed by track in my opinion…

i've already stated that clearly nsu was tops this year across the board. this year nsu had strong seasons in football and basketball, and performed well in the baseball tournament which was hosted in norfolk. hands down, nsu is tops this year. but years prior, nsu did not have strong showings across the board, yet they still won the all sports trophy…

Outside of Track, NSU has not won anything since entering the MEAC but a Womens BB tourney champ in 2002.
