Instead of just doing it and getting it over with, they are dragging out the inevitable. Silly and poor business. Just end the speculation and cut everyone that you need to and move forward.

You create disease when you leave all the open questions. Typical Blank trying to appease everyone and helping on one.

If they draft Ryan for a Mularky, run all the time offense, then I don't know what to say.

They already have Adrian Peterson who does some of the same things as Warwick but is younger.

I think Charlotte, Tampa, Miami, NE, Cleveland, SD, Texans, GB...wait are there any teams that don't need a RB who can run, block and catch out the backfield??

With all due respect Marshall fielding a baseball team vs fielding a football team use totally different rationale. You don't need a guy on a baseball team that's tough as nails. You can't test heart on a baseball field. The internal characteristics that make someone a good linebacker doesn't translate to baseball at all. Certainly not at the NFL level.

The decisions a GM makes are tough but they have to make sense as well. Sometimes you have to eat the costs while making the transition to the team you want to be. Where the Falcons are failing is they are liquidating players from the team that were the team. Alge, Dunn, DMo, and Rod Coleman were the cogs of the team. Again you can't look at this past year. Alge's production was down because Petrino does not throw to him. Dunn carried the Falcons within a yard of the endzone against the Titans and what did Petrino do....called 4 straight pass plays with a new QB (Leftwich) under center (what a brilliant guy huh Roll Eyes). When they did lean on the vets the Falcons won. Why is Crocker (along with Brookings) still on the team? Neither has done flip. Not to mention some of those sorry arse O-Linemen. But check it if you think the starters (except Forney) were horrible, think about how sorry the backups were? Its frightening.

I will be watching the draft very closely and of course staying up on the FA signees. Oh and remember this is a thin draft all around. It is doubtful that the middle rounds will produce some of the surprise stars it has in the past. But when the final 85-90 are brought to camp we will see just how well Dimitroff has done his job. Keep in mind other than Turner none of the other FAs signed thus far have been head turners.

It's Marshall's fault. You know these youngins don't listen to logic and reason from us old heads.

hulaw and hassan, this is just like the movie 'Colors' ...Sean Penn was so young , dumb and full of .... (just like us a few mere years ago as MF young-uns)
but by the end of the movie when he was the veteran cop, he was trying to tell another rookie to slow his roll.

You know B-Trips can't let go of a debate.....and apparently, Marshall (king of the nested quotes) can't either.

ahhhhhh......remember when we used to be like that? Laugh

y'all kill me with all these quotes inside of quotes inside of quotes. Singlehandedly (and simultaneously) dragging down the speed of the internet and contributing to early onset of premature vision loss. Cool LOL.

He'd be an even BETTER addition to the Falcons &/or Home Depot's Community Relations Department(s) right now ...

Especially with spearheading the building/renovating of cribs in his home state of Louisiana. Wink

I don't think Dunn would like the idea of running behind no offensive line. And Adrian Peterson is not that good either. He is a best on Special Teams though. The Bears need to grab a running back in the draft. Not an aging free-agent back like Dunn.

The Bears has history drafting duds at tailback position going back to 1995.. Cedric Benson isn't ready to carry the load for Bears.. I believe Warrick Dunn could help Bears running attack...

The Bears don't even know who will be on their offensive line, who will be the QB or who will be at WR. Do you think Warrick Dunn would want to be on a team like that? And if you are the Bears brass, do you want to lean on Dunn at 33, to help save your running game? Like I said, Dunn would be a good fit for a team who is close to the Super Bowl or the playoffs, the Bears are not in that position. The Bears need a difference-maker at running back to take the pressure off the passing game. Dunn is not that difference maker the Bears need.
