US Airways Adds PayPal To Ticketing Options

In an effort to grow its online channel, US Airways Group Inc. is accepting PayPal payments for online ticket purchases.

US Airways' (NYSE:LCC) customers with PayPal accounts can choose from several payment options to fund transactions, including credit card, bank account and PayPal account balance. There are no additional fees for using PayPal on www.usairways.com, officials said in making the announcement Tuesday.

"An important part of our ongoing project to rebuild usairways.com is to provide our customers with the payment options they've asked for, including the ability to pay via PayPal," said US Airways Vice President of Sales and Marketing Travis Christ.

PayPal allows customers to pay without sharing financial information. Tempe-based US Airways offers 16,000 daily flights to 855 destinations in 155 countries.
