The teams seek self-starters who may be responsible for some or all of the following: (1) Prospecting for new clients, (2) Handling customer service and ticketing issues of assigned customers, (3) Soliciting premium seating packages, (4) Managing existing ticket and suite sales accounts, (5) Attending/staffing numerous events, (6) Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

To be invited, the selected candidates must successfully demonstrate in their applications: (1) a strong work ethic, (2) persistence in the face of obstacles, (3) a passion for learning, (4) an openness to feedback, and (5) an ability to multi-task.

NBA, WNBA and D-League teams are looking for candidates experienced in sports team sales, general business sales, educated in sports management and those interested in selling for a professional basketball team. Compensation will vary from team to team, so we strongly encourage applicants to answer "Anticipated Compensation."

Please make sure to attach your resume to the application. Those applications with resumes attached will be given stronger consideration. There are 6 job questions. Please make sure you have enough time (min. 20 minutes) to fill out the application and answer the questions before pressing "Apply for this Position." If you have trouble attaching your resume, press review the FAQ for assistance. Please make sure to fill out the entire application.

Current NBA/WNBA/D-League employees must alert their direct supervisors prior to the Job Fair if invited. Applicants will be required to cover all travel and lodging expenses if invited. Applicants will be advised of their status by March 20, 2008.

Note: When you apply for this job online, you will be required to answer the following questions:

1. Answer "NBA", "WNBA" and, or "D-League" (you can reply with one, two, or all three but list each league by its initials, please): For which league (s) would you have an interest in working?

2. Describe in your application how you possess the following: (1) strong work ethic, (2) persistence in the face of obstacles, (3) a passion for learning, (4) an openness to feedback, (5) an ability to multi-task

"History is not a procession of illustrious people. It's about what happens to a people. Millions of anonymous people is what history is about." - James Baldwin

" ... the United States, for generations, has sustained two parallel but opposed states of mind about military atrocities and human rights: one of U.S. benevolence, generally held by the public, and the other of ends-justify-the-means brutality sponsored by counterinsurgency specialists. Normally the specialists carry out their actions in remote locations with little notice in the national press. That allows the public to sustain its faith in a just America, while hard-nosed security and economic interests are still protected in secret. ": Robert Parry, investigative reporter and author

"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State." - Joseph Goebbels, German Minister of Propaganda, 1933-1945
