Seminole Tribe to Buy Hard Rock
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Seminole Tribe of Florida said it was buying the famed Hard Rock business, including its casinos, restaurants, hotels and huge collection of rock memorabilia. The $965 million deal with Rank Group of London is believed to be an American Indian tribe's first purchase of a major international corporation of its size, the Seminoles said.

The sale, which is subject to shareholder approval, is scheduled to be completed in March. The deal does not include Hard Rock's Las Vegas casino and intellectual-property rights owned by Morgans Hotel Group.

Good for them, though if you think the Seminioles have a little bank, you should check out the Utes, who don't even own casinos, but are making a good return on oil and gas on their land.

Just a precursor for setting themselves up for their ULTIMATE Checkmate ...

Getting table games finally legalized in FLORIDA!

The NEW Gov may just be a bit more cordial towards the idea - especially since he already kows how much the State is losing DAILY to Mississippi, the Caribbean, and all the other areas with legal gambling nearby ... Because all the Floridians are heading OUT of the State to lose their loot.

Chuck was one of the spearheads behind getting in the Jebster's ear about lifting the Ticket Scalping Law ("Let alone the fact that TWO of the next three Super Bowls will be played here too!"). Essentially, if Jeb didn't hurry up and do it, "Chucky WAS", so the odds are going to be a lot more in the Seminoles favor to finally get all the table games here eventually.

"If you're gonna lose all your money ... You might as well just do it at HOME!"

Everyone ELSE seems to get that loud and clear ... "Execpt US!"

OK, well this proves I'm not much of a gambler, but I thought you already could gamble at the Hardrock on their "reservation" in Broward County.
