I just got a Sony 50 in 1080 plasa HDTV...but I can still take it back. The one that caught my eye was the flat panel 50 in 720 LCD . I am afraid that the plasma will burn out quickly.Should I get rid of the plasma and hit the LCD or what.

Go with the LCD over plasma, there isn't a major difference in picture quality at a normal viewing range but LCD can be repaired whereas plasma you usually are out of gas. Even in mobile video screens LCD's last longer and I haven't had any trouble with mine at all. ------------------ "Stand for something or fall for anything" |

Thanks...I had just finished doing a little reserch and I have decided to go with LCD. So I will be telling them to come pick up the plasma.

I purchased a Samsung 1080p 40" a few months ago. It plays great. I also upgraded to the Dish Network HD Package. I rarely watch channels that are not HD. The picture quality is excellent.
