That's a good question. One thing to consider, some of these "conservative" political groups get students to do their dirty work. In a situation like this, they would send the student through the process, hoping for a denial and then scream reverse racism b/c she had the grades, etc. and no amount of "hey we just didn't want HER" would shut them up. Then they would move to withdraw SGA funding. This could have been a setup.

I still run into whites that are surprised that an HBCU has white athletes. I tell them that HBCUs never discriminated, but PWCs did. They think it was mutual

Yeah, it could be construed as wrong. BUT, here's "wronger"

1. Someone giving it to charity instead of destroying it.
2. Someone stealing it
3. Someone cleaning out a deceased sorors closet and giving it away because they don't KNOW any better.
4. Someone's things getting tossed on the street from eviction or non-payment of a storage unit. That's when your stuff gets picked over.

See, all of those things could have occurred in this situation and there was no "intent" to dishonor by anyone.

That lady looks like she might be hard pressed to have a jacket- any kind of jacket. So, we might have a hard time convincing her to take it off or give it back. The value she places on it differs greatly from ours.

Sorry, I've always been kinda different when it comes to that sorta thing. I'd much rather spend my available funds on sporting events (football, baseball, etc.)

On top of that, I'd be mad if I couldn't go to the museums while there. Naw, yall have fun and bring me back a sticker or T-Shirt of something. I'll probably make my way to some nice quiet place in the Blue Ridge Mountains and listen to a waterfall cascade down the mountain. That there is the life.
