It's new to me too and I was at FAMU at that time and spent alot of time at FSU and definitely don't remember this fraternity. I guess they were in the "closet" back then remember it was the 80s not Y2Ks.

Wow, I ain't mad at them. I'm sure our founders faced similar discrimination when they decided to start our organizations. At least they're not perpin' my org.

^ I dont completely agree. I really don't like when people align the plight of african-americans with the plight of homosexuals.

I'm not homosexual, so I can't speak from experience, but I imagine they're struggles to be seen as people and equals favors the struggles of our own people. I guess I could be classified as a bit homophobic because I don't agree with gay marriages and images such as these turn my stomach--I'm so sick of seeing our black men acting more feminine than me.
At first I tried to understand it, but I just decided to live and let live. I know they must feel oppressed, discriminated against and sometimes hopeless--hence, the high suicide rate. ^Not agreeing with gay marriage doesn't make you homophobic.

I never said it did.
Perhaps I didn't make myself clear, I tend to speak my own language from time to time.  I used to care about who others loved like gays, black men and white women, too old with too young....now basically I just don't care about any of that stuff anymore--doesn't mean I like it or agree. Each of these groups have seen their fair share of struggles for respect and equality...the same as my people in the Civil Rights movement. I love who I love and live how I live, so I really don't have the right to impose my beliefs on others. You don't agree, I understand...no love lost.
