Has anyone had or knows anyone who has had lap band surgery,which is suppose to be a less invasive form of stomach stapling? What were the results like?

Hi, there! I'm new here. As I was reading you article, I happened that I just have visited this particular site that is very close to your question. It's a newsletter done by Julianne Kennedy. There you can read the details about Lap Band Surgery and other related topics. It's really great newsletter.

I've known a couple of people who have gotten lap bands, and they seem to be pretty effective. Lap band patients must get the band 'filled' every so often though to maintain effectiveness
I am not as familiar with gastric bypass surgery.

My father had the Gastric Bypass and we had some scary moments but overall it is working. He dropped 140 pounds in a year and a Half. But We talked about the lap band because it's not as risky. But these procedures really should be your last option!
