Today I ran 2.02 miles in 20 minutes. My goal is 3 miles in 20 minutes!
Anybody wanna join in and push each other? Also I weigh 278, I need to get down to 255! I need some motivation!!!!! nothing wrong with sweet potato pie. i love it too. you just gotta make sure you burn off what you eat. i have a sweet tooth for baked goods, ALL day AND late at night. it's a struggle. besides, men shouldn't be walking around looking like they're four months pregnant. |

I can currently do 2 miles in just under 15 minutes, but Im trying to shave some time off of that.

I can make that a goal as well. This year I hopped in a couple of 5Ks (200m more than 3miles) without training much. These were the 1st competitive races I'd run since 99, and back then, I'd hand the baton off after 100m. Anyway, I finished in the mid 23s once and the high 23s another time, but both times faded pretty badly over the last 1800m. I guess that puts me around the high 22s for 3 miles. Distance running is no joke, but I got a treadmill in Sept., and am pretty consistent about training 3x a week. When the spring rolls around, I'll hop in some more 5ks and see if I can break 20. |

It might be worthwhile for us to keep a spreadsheet of our progress then we can acknowledge our progress once or twice per month in this forum.

Make sure you're smart about it in terms of what you eat, training and the choice of trek. Oh and if you're losing your arch, you gotta get some serious support.
