After 20 years of marriage, a couple was lying in bed one evening, when the misses felt her husband begin to fondle her in ways he hadn't in
quite some time.

It almost tickled as his fingers started at her neck, and then began moving down past the small of her back.

He then caressed her shoulders and neck, slowly worked his hand down over her breasts, stopping just over her lower stomach.

He then proceeded to place his hand on her left inner arm, caressed past the side of her breast again, working down her side, passed gently
over her buttock and down her leg to her calf.

Then, he proceeded up her inner thigh, stopping just at the uppermost portion of her leg.

He continued in the same manner on her right side, then suddenly stopped, rolled over and became silent.

As she had become quite aroused by this caressing, she asked in a loving voice, "Honey, that was wonderful. Why did you stop?"

"I found the remote," he mumbled.

Laugh

Is it too much or too unrealistic to hope that a man after 20 years can still put it down or at least have the desire to?

Has the woman at least attempted to keep herself up, and also show a little interest in him as well? 2-way street, my sista Smiler

My question wasn't rhetorical.

Never said that women don't hold up to their end of the bargain; wasn't trying to make that an man vs. woman issue. I am interested in men, that's why I asked that of a man.

But if it hit a nerve I will rephrase my question:
Is it too much or too unrealistic to hope that your mate after 20 years can still put it down or at least have the desire to?

Sorry Quin, but A&T is absolutely correct. BOTH parties must keep up their ends of the bargain--that's essential to keeping the fire going.

Who knows? The joke didn't say it, but maybe the remote got "lost" because she now takes up twice as much space in the bed as she did their wedding night.

Exactly. I know that...that's not what I was questioning or debating. I wasn't saying men or this and that and women always keep themselves up and men need to keep their end of the bargain...or blah blah

My question simply was...is it unrealistic to want, after 20 years, to have still have that fire and desire? I was wanting to know mainly from those who have been married for a long time. That joke was funny but made me wonder.

I feel ya' Chick! I won't be married until next year, but I truly PRAY that it is possible.

I have a friend whose parents have been married longer than we've been alive (I'm 29). It's almost sickening to see them. LOL! I used to go home for visits with her back in college and I remember her mom would be in the kitchen cooking and dad would walk by and give her a kiss, grab her by the waist or pop her on the rear. My friend even said they'd lock themselves in the bedroom for days at a time sometimes. I've spoken to her mom about relationships and according to her mother, you need to: choose the right person for the right reason; work your ass off to make it work at any cost; and KEEP IT NEW. She must be onto something bc after all this time, they are still happily married and full of lust. LOL!

Yes. In most cases it is unrealistic.
