BEECH ISLAND, S.C. -- Some of James Brown possessions are heading to a museum in South Carolina for preservation.
The South Carolina State University I. P. Stanback Museum and Planetarium is at the James Brown Estate taking items like pictures, plaques, music, clothing and books to place in a James Brown Museum at the university. News 12 has learned that museum will be open in the fall of this year. The items taken are not those that are being auctioned off in the Christie's Auction later this year. Under a February 20th order, Judge Jack Early said select items from the James Brown Estate can be placed on loan for no longer than three years to preserve them. There was supervision at the estate on Friday to make sure everything was running smoothly. _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _  A new "STATE" of mind....yeah, I can dig it!
