"Drumline" is, without a doubt, the best HBCU movie featuring a fictional southern-based marching band that triumphs at a fictional battle of the bands competition in the history of cinema! Big Grin

Basic concept of marketing. Change the marketing and strategy. Change the packaging and name of the same product (this case including markings "Special Edition"), and resell, possibly at a higher price.

Could Drumline be the best HBCU movie???????

Well, in order to accurately state this, we would need to compare all of the HBCU movies.

So let's compose a list.

Don't worry...I'll wait...

I have not and do not intend to see "Stomp the Yard." Was that set on an HBCU?? It's not like there are that many HBCU movies.

I agree with Aggie Til I Die, School Daze is a classic.

I took my daughters to see "Stomp the Yard." They didn't know much about black fraternities and sororities, and to be honest - neither did I...even though my brother is a Kappa. Blush

I am a true band head and to me Pay The Price shouldn't even had been made, it was horrible. Thumb Up School Daze was the HBCU classic.

Stomp the yard was filmed at Morris Brown College, Morehouse College and Clark Atlanta University campus am I correct.
