To be honest with you my post was not intended to poke fun or to even smack.....I think All of this shows a lack of taste to smack anyone from any school because of the poor choices he or she makes.....Some of us love to point fingers but fail to realize that even worse things have happened in our own front yards.......I understand if you want to post news but the insults, the photos and all the other things that have been said about a young lady who mad a bad choice is just tastless and shows a lack of class period. Some of us have done worse or even stolen more but were just lucky we didn't get caught, some of you to this day most likly has cheated on your taxes, so what does that make you? What if this was your daughter would you still be laughing, if I were a moderater the trend would have been deleted once the "smack" began but know it goes on for 6 pages and will continue to grow, but thats ok right....when does it end? I guess it would have been ok if the NSU student would have just robbed his fellow student right, you would have not complained then but you would would have jumped on the bandwagon and posted his picture right.....smack right? So this post is still pointless right......

First of all, NO PERSON from NSU has forgotten that someone was killed on our campus. And I guarantee you, murder happens EVERYWHERE...Virginia Tech, Northern Illinois, Columbine. But you can't even compare someone losing their LIFE with shoplifting from Target. The two aren't even in the same league. The point that makes the thread "funny" is it is Miss Hampton. Had it been Derrick Green, junior, psychology major, this wouldn't have gone past one page. Hell, it wouldn't have even been REPORTED by the media if it was just a regular student shoplifting. People from EVERY school shoplift every day. But every one is not Miss university, starting QB, basketball coach...whatever.

And as several of your own Pirates have said, had this been Miss NSU, Howard, FAMU.....Hamptonians would be yucking it up to. If you're going to try to blast NSU, blast some of your own Pirates that have laughed at this thread. Let's not be hypocrites. If that's the case, maybe we should bring up Kemba Smith every time we start getting bashed by Hamptonians. Naaa, we're better than that. Miss Hampton made a bad mistake. I hope she'll get her degree, learn from this episode,and become a productive member of society. Because in the end, she is still a young BLACK woman, one of OUR own, regardless of what school she went to.

Good point....and noted. I don't think it is that serious though to compare it to a murder, but I see your way of looking at it. Armed robbery, I wouldn't be clowning, but shoplifting, *shrug* hell, there are senior government people that do that, and I clown them, and I work for some of their offices.

Anytime someone breaks the law its serious, regardless of the crime....and believe it or not it is a reflection us ALL not just one Institution of higher learning.

Go ahead bring up Kemba Smith, her story is one of interest,and the world needs to hear it so much so just this week it was released that a motion picture is being shot as we type....but hey I am sure Tim Montgomery will have is day on the big screen too....
